Pune The Pune rural police have given a proposal to the District Collector for Joint River Patrolling (JRP) suggesting measures to check crimes related to lifting of sand from the river bed. This comes in the wake of the murder of Sharad Janardan Choudhary, a sand-lifting contractor, in Shirur on April 29.
