Shillong: The Lafarge Umiam Private Limited (LUMPL) seems to have garnered certain amount of support among the local populace with the Nongtrai Village Dorbar coming out in open support of the company and its mining operations.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Pynshai Rapmai, secretary of the Nongtrai Village Dorbar alleged that some vested interests were spreadin
