Udhagamandalam: A leopard has been killed near Gudalur. The District Forest Officer, Gudalur, N. Satheesh, told The Hindu that the carcass of the female leopard aged around four to five years was found near a fence erected along coffee plantation in Nelliyalam village. The carnivore had fallen into a snare. The tight wire noose had caused its death.
