EDITORIAL (March 22 2009): Unicef programme specialist Dr Muhammad Rafiq has said at the inaugural ceremony of the March 2009 anti-polio vaccination round at Peshawar that Pakistan remains at the top of the list of polio endemic countries, in remarks that should be taken very seriously by the government. He has called for urgent measures to root out this grave public health menace.
