The Pollution Control Board has unearthed 37 cases of bogus units which tried to evade authorities to get consent to operate after furnishing erroneous affidavits giving false declarations in various industrial areas of the state.

The attempt to cheat the authorities came to light when officials of the board paid a field visit to inspect the site prior to grant of consent to operate.
