Mumbai: A decade after it was conferred with a special status, Sindhudurg, in the coastal Konkan region, will no longer be an eco-sensitive district. A week ago, the Congress-led DF government withdrew the ban on setting up thermal power stations, stone crushers and mining units in the region.
