Water released from Khanpur Dam floods wheat fields
Around 600 wheat growers in 10 villages on the banks of Haro River have suffered badly due to release of water from Khanpur Dam after the recent heavy rains.
A group of farmers led by Jhalu union council nazim Rafaqat Khan Tahirkheli told reporters here on Sunday that excess water in the reservoir was released into the river, and it flooded the wheat crop that was ready for harvesting.
