Investigating shared risk in water: corporate engagement with the public policy process
WWF has stated interest in improving the management of freshwater resources for people and nature. In addition to advocacy around government and public engagement with water resources, WWF has an interest in greater awareness and engagement of the private sector to support better management of these precious resources. This paper takes the current corporate engagement with water and risk as its point of departure, and in
particular the CEO Water Mandate element around public policy. It is intended as a discussion piece to provoke thought and dialogue around these complex issues. In some cases it attempts to frame the debate, but at no time is the discussion intended to be prescriptive or provide a guideline.
