Draft Karnataka solar policy 2011-2016

The draft solar policy released by Karnataka government for 2011-2016. The state government aims to install 40 MW of solar power generation capacity every year between FY12 and FY16. This capacity includes the generation capacity selected under the first and second phases of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.

 

 

 

Karntaka has released the draft solar policy for the next five years. The policy outlines the state government's goals to add solar PV and thermal capacity till 2011. The state government aims to installed 40 MW of solar power generation capacity every year between FY12 and FY16. This capacity includes the generation capacity selected under the first and second phases of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. Solar PV and thermal projects with a minimum generation capacity of 5 MW and maximum of 10 MW will be approved under the state policy.
