The Insecticides (Amendment) Rules, 2021
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on September 03, 2021 has issued the Insecticides (Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971. The following amendment have been made: In rule 10, after sub-rule (1A), the following Sub-rules shall be inserted, namely:- (1B) A person who applies for the grant of licence or renewal of existing licencee to sell, stock or exhibit for sale or distribute insecticides commonly used for household purpose only and registered as such, shall be exempted from the requirement of educational qualification specified in sub-rule (1A). (1C) A person who applies for the grant of licence to sell, stock or exhibit for sale or distribute insecticides commonly used for household purpose only and registered as such shall be deemed to have granted a licence if the licensing officer did not grant him licence after expiry of a period of ninety days from the date of submission of his application”. In rule 10A of the said rules, in clause (a), after the word and figure “Form III”, the words “either in physical form or digital form” shall be inserted. In rule 15 of the said rules, - (a) In sub-rule (2), after the word “register”, the words “either in physical form or digital form” shall be inserted; (b) In sub-rule (3), after the word “register”, the words “either in physical form or digital form” shall be inserted; (c) In sub-rule (4), after the word “register”, the words “either in physical form or digital form” shall be inserted. In rule 37 of the said rules, in sub rule (1), after the word “register”, the words “either in physical form or digital form” shall be inserted.
