An integrated ecosystem management approach to conserve biodiversity and to minimise habitat fragmentation in the RussianArctic
ECORA is a Global Environment Facility (GEF) project initiated by the Arctic Council Working Group on the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), UNEP/GRID-Arendal, and the Russian Federation that uses an integrated ecosystem management
approach to conserve biodiversity and minimize habitat
fragmentation in the Russian Arctic. The main phase of the project was initiated in 2004 and is scheduled for completion in 2009. This report presents an overview of the project and a summary of major results to date.
