The following draft of certain rules to regulate the manufacture, trade, use, import and export of lead contents in household and decorative paints which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of its powers under subsection (1) of section 3 and clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 6 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with sub-rule (2) of rule 13 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, is hereby published for information of all persons including organisations likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration by the Central Government after the expiry of a period of sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing this notification are made available to the public. These rules may be called the Regulation on Lead contents in Household and Decorative Paints Rules, 2016.
