Revised Action plan for Control of Air Pollution in Bengaluru City

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has only tweaked its action plan to tackle air pollution in Bengaluru. While the action points are the same as the older plan, the difference is that the revised plan has set a different deadline for implementation and the progress made. For instance, one of the action points is to increase the City’s green cover by planting and maintaining 68,800 trees in places where empty space is available. In the revised plan, the Bengaluru Development Authority, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike as well as the KSPCB have been made responsible for implementing this.
