Field trials were conducted on highly degraded sites on farmers' fields at Neemkheda field and Piparia hill in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh to observe the performance of multipurpose tree species (MPTS) at 2m x 3m and 3m x 3m spacings under different agroforestry practices.

Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plant species which occurs under varied climatic and edaphic conditions. In the present review the distribution and productivity of different species of bamboo in India have been discussed.
