Welspun Energy Ltd. (WEL), one of India’s leading renewable energy generators, has successfully achieved financial closure of its upcoming 20 MW solar project in Maharashtra. Leading financial institutions have committed to a long term project funding of Rs. 135 crore, with Debt & Equity elements sourced in a ratio of 75:25.

The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and Forest Research Institute Dehradun (FRI) in collaboration with Welspun Energy Ltd. (WEL), India’s foremost renewable energy generator, organized a workshop titled ‘Innovation for Forest Carbon Finance in India’ on 28th May 2013 at FRI’s Dehradun campus.
