Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of All India Lokadhikar Sangathan Vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 25/07/2017 regarding steel pickling units in Delhi. National Green Tribunal directs Delhi Pollution Control Committee to file affidavit as to why they have not complied with the order of the Tribunal and issued directions under the relevant provision of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for closure of these industries and consequent to it disconnection of electricity.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of All India Lokadhikar Sangathan Vs Govt. Of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 13/12/2016 regarding steel pickling units in Delhi. Counsel appearing for the DPCC submits that in furtherance to the Minutes of the Meeting dated 22-11-2016 held between representatives of Department of Industries and Environment GNCTD, DDA, CPCB and DPCC a policy decision has been taken that the pickling industries would continue to be considered as impermissible and shall fall under the prohibited category.
