Of NCT of Delhi Ors. dated 18/06/2014 regarding cutting of trees to construct a ramp as part of the PWD’s Elevated Corridor project between Vikaspuri and Mukarba Chowk, 18/06/2014. The counsel appearing for Respondents has submitted that there were totally 5016 trees on the entire stratch of 14 kms from Vikas Puri to Mukarbachowk. Out of which total 1080 trees were cut at 3 stages for completion of the Project.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. P.C. Prasad & Ors. Vs. Govt. Of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 11/11/2013 regarding the environmental aspects of the Elevated Road project. Nearly 14076 trees are to be uprooted or felled for carrying on this project. Most of these trees are fully grown up trees i.e. of an age of 20 years plus and as such uprooting of these trees would have immediate serious impact on environment.
