In response to the reports on fire incidents in CNG buses in Delhi, EPCA had constituted an expert committee on May 2, 2006 to investigate the problem. This report has analysed the root cause of bus fire incidents, identified the manufacturing deficiencies and defects pertaining to the engine and sub-system design/ electric installations and electric wiring/gas piping and joints etc.

It recommends periodic audits every six months and corrective actions based on the findings of the third party auditing of the PUC centres. Presents the finding of the decoy operation in which frauds in a PUC centre was detected. Recommends strong penal action against the defaulters.

This report is in continuation of Report No. 20, May 2006. The report contains an assessment of the lambda data generated in the ongoing pilot programme to propose the lambda cut point for enforcement under PUC. The report has examined the lambda specifications provided by the vehicle manufacturers.

In March 2005, EPCA submitted its report no. 14: Special report on the introduction of an upgraded pollution under control certificate system in response to the Hon

This report is in addition to EPCA report on parking: the imperative of restricting vehicle numbers in Delhi (July 2004).
It takes into account the parking policy filed by the government of Delhi (affidavit on behalf of GNCT of Delhi). In addition, it reviews policies and measures for parking to assess the action plan and work to be done.

It takes into account the affidavit on behalf of the Transport Department GNCT of Delhi, October 2005 and Delhi Transport Corporation, October 2005. In addition, it reviews the recently reported incidents of CNG bus fires to examine the weaknesses and problems.
