NGT has directed that no new lease, shall be granted for any mine, which falls within eco sensitive zone or protected Forest or sanctuary, within territory of Goa. NGT also directs that concerned mine-owners, be not allowed to remove dumps and if there is any hazardous waste material, then the Government shall take care of removal of the hazardous waste, according to Hazardous Waste Management Rules.(HWMR).
