Paves way for auction of 100 blocks; analysts say global players like Rio Tinto and BHP will be attracted

The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to constitute District Mineral Foundation Trusts in all the districts to assist and provide relief to those affected by mining.

The government plans to auction as many as 25 mines minerals such as iron ore, gold, bauxite and limestone by August this year.
