Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of PI Vanramchhuangi Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/04/2024.

The court was informed that six stone quarry operators in district Lunglei have been identified by the authorities for carrying on illegal stone quarrying. Complaints have been filed and criminal proceedings initiated and the matter is still pending.

Official sources here today said there had been no report of swine flu in human beings so far, adding the dead pigs were confined to the districts of Lawngtlai and Lunglei bordering Myanmar and Kolasib district bordering Asom.
