Stench and litter pervades major water nullahs in the Commercial Capital as sewage and waste water flows unhindered in the water channels in the absence of sewerage network.

While the Margao Municipal Council is bracing up to start door-to-door garbage collection in some wards, city hotel owners are finding it tough to dispose off its waste with citizens objecting to dumping of the waste in the Municipal bins.
