New Delhi: Having received the environmental clearance for its proposed township project at Panipat (Haryana), real estate company Parsvnath Developers Ltd on Monday said it would soon start construction at the site.

After getting positive response from the anti-polythene drive, the district administration has launched the second phase of the campaign against plastic bags.

The second phase aims at countering use of plastic bags in rural areas of the district.

It's official now. The much-awaited Panipat flyover on the National Highway No 1 is finally going to be inaugurated on July 17. The flyover that was expected to be opened for vehicular traffic in the first week of June got delayed due to certain reasons. The bridge would now be inaugurated by union minister for shipping, road and transport T. R. Baalu and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

PANIPAT: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Jaipal Reddy on Tuesday dedicated to the nation India's largest naphtha cracker plant at Indian Oil Corporation's (IOCs) Panipat Complex.

The complex has been commissioned in 46 months, which compares with the global standard for similar capacity plants and is ahead of average time taken in setting up similar units in India.

Chandigarh: The Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGCL) is venturing into solar power generation by setting up solar energy-based power plants at Panipat, Yamunanagar and Khedar in Hisar.

HPGCL plans to tap the vast solar energy potential and earn carbon credits by generating power through this clean source.
