Barog Heights Hotel dated 04/10/2017 regarding illegal construction in the hill town of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh. The case relates to the 1.5 km long road from the highway to the Barog Hotel. The counsel appearing for the State of Himachal Pradesh submits that the records of this case are not available with any Department of the State Government and no inquiry etc. was pending with them. The matter is listed for 05/10/2017.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs Vs Bird’s View Resort & Others dated 30/05/2017 regarding unauthorized construction of hotels in close vicinity of Kasauli area in the State of Himachal Pradesh. It was brought before the notice of the court that there are instances where plans were sanctioned for a limited purpose but they have been flagrantly violated, for instance, where 7 rooms were sanctioned, 50 rooms have been constructed.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs. Nilgiri Hotel & Others dated 26/05/2017 regarding unauthorized construction in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. NGT noted that even though Hotel Devshikha was granted consent to operate no inspection was conducted by SPCB. NGT expressed its displeasure at the report submitted by the Junior Engineer of the State Pollution Control Board and said that the report is primarily prepared for convenience of the hotel.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. & Others dated 06/03/2017 regarding protection of Kasauli, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh from the construction activity of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. from constructing 42 rooms hotel cum national museum and geo-park cum restaurant, conference hall, reception centre and park on the old site of Roscommon Annexe, Khetarpal Marg Kasauli.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs. Bird’s View Resort & Others dated 30/01/2017 regarding unauthorised constructions in Kasauli area, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Advocate General appearing for the State has pointed out before the Court detailed list of unauthorized constructions, wholly or partially as well as the authorized construction existing in that area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation & Others dated 06/06/2016 regarding water scarcity in Tehsil Kasauli, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh. NGT directs the State of Himachal Pradesh to file all annexures which are annexed to the report including plan for Rain Water Harvesting System that they have placed on record, within two weeks.
