Status report in execution application No 13 of 2021 in OA No 174 of 2014 (Sunder Singh Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Ors.) on the status of johad (traditional pond) in Issapur village, Najafgarh, Delhi.

The NGT, July 23, 2021 directed the SDM, Najafgarh to remove encroachment, if any and keep the pond, measuring 4 bighas, improve its cleanliness and eventually develop the water body into a reservoir. The NGT also directed the constitution of a committee to monitor the progress of renewal of the johad in Issapur village. The committee visited the site, November 29, 2021.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikrant Tongad Vs State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 31/07/2019 regarding illegal drawal of groundwater by tankers in violation of the ban on extraction of ground water without prior permission of the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) and without such tankers being registered with the Delhi Jal Board. Such tankers are operating without registration with a view to avoid regulation which is necessary to check the source from where the water is drawn.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Sharamjeevi Mahila Samiti Vs State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 21/08/2018 regarding registration of unorganised workers in India.

The SC was informed that the Ministry of Labour and Employment is involved in the process of finalizing a registration module for unorganized workers and after the security audit it would be made ready by the end of December, 2018. Thereafter, it would be made available to the States/Union Territories for further process of registration and issuance of paper identity cards.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rajinder Singh & Others Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 21/12/2017 regarding revival of pond situated in Village Asalatpur Khadar in Janakpuri Najafgarh Tehsil in South West District of Delhi. NGT directs Secretary State of NCT of Delhi and Chief Engineer, Public Works Department to pass appropriate orders for revival of the pond.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sukhdev Vihar Residents Welfare Association & Ors. Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 09/10/2017 regarding environmental pollution caused by waste to energy plant at Okhla, Delhi.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Amarjit Singh Nalwa & Ors. Vs. The State of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 20/04/2017 regarding felling of trees, Jaunapur and Dera Mandi, Delhi.

NGT in the Order dated 11/12/2015 had directed NCT Delhi to take necessary measures to stop illegal activities of construction, laying of concrete RCC roads, both felling and cutting of trees, mining, digging of borewells, disposal of MSW and burning of plastic inside the forest area expeditiously which was not followed upon.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sukhdev Vihar Residents Welfare Association & Ors. Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 23/12/2016. According to the Counsel appearing for the South Delhi Municipal Corporation they are entitled to 6.14% on revenue sharing basis for power generation (waste to energy plant) from the date of plant commissioned for power generation. However, according to the Project Proponent they are liable to pay 3% of the revenue sharing for power generation eight years from the date of commencement.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sunder Singh Vs State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 09/12/2016 regarding illegal encroachments made in the water body ‘Johad’ bearing Khasra No. 148 admeasuring 6 Bighas and 13 Biswas of the Gram Sabha of Issarpur, Najafgarh, Delhi. National Green Tribunal directs the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Najafgarh ondent No. 7, to remove encroachments, if any, and keep the existing pond ‘Johad’, measuring 4 Bighas; improve its cleanliness within a period of 3 months and eventually develop the water body into a reservoir.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sukhdev Vihar Residents Welfare Association & Ors. Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 01/09/2016 regarding waste to energy plants in Delhi. National Green Tribunal directs authorities to "take clear instructions as to the availability of the sites, operationalisation of the waste to energy plant, capacity of each of them and what steps they are going to take to ensure their continuous operalisation without any further delay".

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pavit Singh Vs. State of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 18/08/2016 regarding unauthorized constructions on the land falling under Khasra No. 687/570, IGNOU road, Neb Sarai, New Delhi and the land adjacent to various streets of Harijan Basti area, Neb Sarai, New Delhi, a ridge area.
