Green tribunal raps state for ‘misusing’ order
Says Status Quo Directive Doesn’t Mean Not Clearing Trees From Drain In Western Ghats
Mumbai: The Pune bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), which had called for a stay on the cutting of trees in the eco-sensitive Western Ghats following a TOI report, has slammed government officials for using its order calling for status quo to be maintained in the area, as an excuse not to clear the trees from the nullah.
