July 29: India has not capitulated or compromised its right to either social or economic development during the recent G-8 meeting in Italy.

Neither has it accepted any caps on the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG), Union minister for environment Jairam Ramesh told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday morning.
