Lafarge cement plant hits hurdle

NEW DELHI: Is mining activities for the French cement manufacturing company, Lafarge, going the uranium way? It appears so - the Supreme Court while upholding the stay on the ban on limestone mining in Shella, asked the cement giant to get fresh Environment Impact Assessment and also suggested holding of public hearing on the controversial matter.
