The Bombay high court on Tuesday suggested framing of norms on noise levels concerning construction or renovation work.

The HC was hearing a PIL against lack of proper implementation of noise pollution norms in the state. The court had noted that marble, granite cutting and polishing required for construction or renovation of residences, create the most noise pollution. The court asked the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) if there were any specific norms framed for the same.
