The claims of better power supply in state during this summer by UP Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) might get hit by shortage of coal at national level.

The recent projections by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has come as a pointer of hard times ahead for UPPCL which had announced commissioning of generation in various units of thermal power plants in this year.
