Proposed pesticides regulation 2009: regulatory impact statement

The Pesticides Act 1999 controls the use of pesticides in New South Wales. The Act aims to reduce the risks to human health, the environment, property, industry and trade from the use
of pesticides. The Pesticides Regulation 1995 facilitates this by setting out requirements for pesticide record-keeping, training and the notification of pesticide use. The Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) describes a number of issues relating to pesticide use in NSW and identifies how the proposed Regulation would continue to cost-effectively protect human health, the
environment, property, industry and trade.
