The resolution passed by Communist Party of India (Marxist)on its position on climate change negotiation to be held at Copenhagen.It states that any deviation from the spirit of Kyoto will compromise India's relationship with rest of the developing world & critiques National action plan on climate change for being silent on redistribution of energy access between rich and the poor.

Central committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist), has just passed a resolution on its position on climate change negotiation to be held at Copenhagen this December. This resolution states that any deviation from the spirit of Kyoto will compromise India's relationship with rest of the developing world and also critiques India's National Action Plan on Climate Change for being silent on redistribution of energy access between the rich and the poor within the country which the country prescribes for international negotiation

Central committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist), has just passed a resolution on its position on climate change negotiation to be held at Copenhagen this December. Central committee only passes resolution on utmost important matters and the act has confirmed the party's concern on this issue. The resolution also adds to the body of party's anti- imperialist ideology and positions climate change at the centre of global politics. The party reaffirms its support to the original Indian position, that coincides with that of G77+China, and warns against any compromise on historical responsibility of rich nations in climate crisis. The resolution states that any deviation from the spirit of Kyoto will compromise India's relationship with rest of the developing world. It also critiques India's National Action Plan on Climate Change for being silent on redistribution of energy access between the rich and the poor within the country which the country prescribes for international negotiation. The party will not accept any change in India's position on Climate Change without a parliamentary process.
