This report presents a comprehensive overview of the opportunities for value creation from the deployment of large-scale solar and wind energy technologies. It contributes to bridging the existing knowledge gap on the topic and gives policy makers and other stakeholders evidence on economic value creation from the accelerated deployment. The report analyses various policy instruments that stimulate value creation and draws on the experience of developed and emerging countries to provide recommendations on how value creation can be maximised. Guidance is provided on the selection of the appropriate tools to measure the socio-economic impact.
