Jaipur: The much hyped campaign ‘Shudh Ke Liye Yudh’ of the food and civil supplies department seems to have faded into the oblivion. It appears that neither the medical and health department nor thedistrictsuppliesoffices are sincere towards checking food adulteration especially when festivals are round the corner.
Launched on June 22, 2009, the state government claimed to have opened a front against the war on the food adulteration with the campaign ‘Shudh Ke Liye Yudh’ in which the former food and civil supplies minister Babu Lal Nagar was seen a bit enthusiastic. The mobile van which was inaugurated to take food samples for testing seems to have vanished into thin air.
