The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on May 17, 2023, issued the Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2023 to further amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986. The Following has been amended namely: In Schedule-1 (a) the entries for serial number 70 which states “Boilers” has been substituted.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on October 11, 2022 has issued Draft amendment to Notification No. S.O. 1533 (E), dated the September 14, 2006 which specifies “Prior environmental clearance required certain activities”.

The environment ministry has directed the constitution of a project screening committee in each state/UT for an initial review proposals involving diversion of forest land, according to this Forest (Conservation) Rules, 2022.

Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on November 12, 2021 has issued Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2021 to further amend the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Trans boundary Movement) Rules, 2016. This shall come into force on November 12, 2021.
