TIRUCHI: Tamil Nadu is the most critically affected among the Southern States owing to over exploitation of ground water resource, observed D.S.C.Thambi, Regional Director, Central Ground Water Board, Chennai, here on Wednesday.

Of the 385 blocks, over 142 blocks were over-exploited in the State.

LUCKNOW: With more than 70 out of 802 blocks in the state labelled as over-exploited, the ground water situation is alarming.
