Hisar recorded the maximum temperature of 45 degrees

Intense heat waves swept across Haryana and Punjab, including Chandigarh, for the second day on Thursday even as Hisar in Haryana recorded the maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius.

The scorching heat continued in the state for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The conditions further aggravated which affected normal life and vehicular traffic.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has accused the Haryana Government of “usurping Rajasthan’s share of water” from the Yamuna and has urged the Centre to intervene in the matter.

Cold wave conditions continued in much of north India on Tuesday, with some places even in the plains of Punjab recording near-zero minimum temperature.

Mercury To Plunge Further To 10°C Soon

Jaipur: Mercury continued to take a dip across the state on Sunday and many places witnessed a fall in maximum and minimum temperatures. People were seen putting on their warm cloths especially during evening and early morning hours. Mount Abu in the hills while Sriganganagar, Bikaner and Churu in the plains remained the coldest in the state with a minimum temperature of 8 degrees and 11.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
