Rajahmundry, June 6: Governor of Pondicherry, Dr Iqbal Singh, called for preserving drinking water resources for future needs.

Participating in the bhoomi puja programme for the supply of drinking water to Yanam under Pondy state from the Godavari river on Sunday, Mr Singh said that unless these measures were initiated properly, there would be shortage of drinking water by 2020.
