Chandigarh Districts in Haryana with a higher literacy rate have recorded low child sex ratio and vice versa. This inverse relationship between the literacy rate and child sex ratio has come to the fore in the latest Census figures.
The literacy rate of Haryana has increased to 76.64% in 2011 from 67.91% in Census 2001.
