Judgment of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Hari Vs Government of NCT of Delhi dated 20/12/2023.

The matter related to encroachment of land behind the graveyard near Max Hospital, Saket, Delhi. Trees like neem, babool, peepal have been cut from the green belt and people are storing scrap material. They are also burning plastic, polythene bags and electricity wires which results in emission of poisonous gases causing air pollution.

Action taken report for and on behalf of DPCC in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order of February 24, 2020 in the matter of Manish Kumar Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The report was filed on June 25, 2020.

The court had directed the inspection of units located in Karawal Nagar Industrial Area of Delhi by a team comprising officials from DPCC, CPCB and SDM office Karawal Nagar. The DPCC stated in the report that there are 117 white category units, 54 number of green category units and 13 orange category units.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nuggehalli Jayasimha Vs Government of NCT of Delhi dated 08/07/2019 regarding non compliance of environment norms by the dairies operating in Delhi. It is alleged that solid, liquid and gas waste is generated and dumped into the drains which are meeting the river Yamuna and thus, this activity results in contamination of river Yamuna. The waste clogged the drainage system which was becoming breeding ground for mosquitoes and other inspects and thus creating health hazard.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Deepak Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 02/07/2019 regarding illegal discharge of effluents and causing of air pollution by industrial and other units in Village Jindpur, Alipur Division, G.T. Road, Delhi. A pond has been also been encroached upon.
