Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of Kumbeswaran Vs Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board & Others dated 11/05/2016 regarding closure of hot mix plants in Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. NGT in its Judgement noted that despite the order of closure to the 7 units the units are functioning by using diesel generator sets and directs the State Pollution Control Board to take all necessary steps for the purpose of sealing the premises of the 7 units, including the seizure of the Diesel Generator Set from the 7 units.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone Bench, Chennai) in the matter of M/s.Kalaiselvi Blue Metal (Unit-I) & Others Vs. The Appellate Authority, Tamil Nadu dated 03/03/2016 regarding blue metal units operating without Consent order and without proper pollution control measures and the directions were issued by the Board under Section 31-A of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu State Pollution Control Board shall independently inspect each of the premises concerned.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zone, Chennai) in the matter of Kumbeswaran Vs Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board & Others dated 17/02/2016 regarding operation of hot mix plants in Somangalam Village, Kundrathur Panchayath Union, Sriperambudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board after conducting inspection have stated that there are 11 units in operation in the said area of which only two are having renewal of ‘’consent’’ from the Board.
