LAHORE: Measles continued to claim lives as another child died of the disease during treatment on Sunday, raising the death toll to 147.

The state government on Thursday said it has succeeded in achieving immunization coverage for 88 per cent children in Odisha in the age group of zero to five years.

Over 11,345 cases of measles have been reported in Punjab during the last five months with an addition of 167 new cases reported during the last 24 hours.

There is no let up in deaths of children on account of measles, as three more children became victim of the disease raising the death toll to 43 in the province of Punjab as per official figures.
