Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Krishan Kant Singh & Others Vs National Ganga River Basin Authority & Others dated 31/05/2014 regarding releasing of harmful effluent from Simbhaoli Sugar mill and Distillery and Gopal Ji Dairy into Simbhaoli Drain and finally into the River Ganga. The case of the Applicants is that the discharge from the Simbhaoli Drain is directly polluting the Ganga, the National River and
it adversely effects River Dolphins and Turtles, for which River Ganga is a prime habitat.
