Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 13/03/2018 regarding encroachment of Pachmarhi Cantonment, Madhya Pradesh. Supreme Court notes that the matter is being extremely casually by the Ministry of Defence. Court directs the Joint Secretary (Works) to hold a meeting within the month of March 2018 and one representative of Yuva Tarang who represents the civil residents of the area may also be permitted to participate in the meeting and place his point of view.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/03/2018 regarding declaration of Matheran land in Maharashtra as an eco-sensitive zone. Learned Additional Solicitor General says that he would like to file a detailed affidavit indicating the background and the present status.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 06/03/2018 regarding diversion of forest land in Tamil Nadu which will also lead to felling of 110 Red Sanders trees by the National Highways Authority of India. Supreme Court allows diversion of forest land subject to permission granted by the authorities under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, fulfillment of the conditions laid therein as well as the payment of Net Present Value and compensatory afforestation in the area identified for this purpose.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 06/03/2018 regarding illegal mining in Rohtas region of Bihar. The Apex Court took note of the report submitted by the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) and that the State of Bihar is acting on it. Supreme Court directs that this should be stated on affidavit and a status report be filed by the State of Bihar with regard to the implementation of the recommendations made by the CEC in its report.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/02/2018 regarding misuse of forest rest houses which are being used for tourism and other purposes. This is contrary to Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980. Supreme Court directs the petitioner to prepare draft guidelines in consultation with CEC and handed over to the Ministry of Forests and Environment for consideration.
