Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others In Re: National Highways Authority of India regarding use of Delhi Ridge land for the widening of National Highway, Delhi, 10/05/2018.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/05/2018 regarding encroachment of Panchmarhi Cantonment land.

Supreme Court has been informed that out of 1001.582 hectares of Cantonment land belonging to the Army which is included in the Panchmarhi Wild Life Sanctuary notified under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, 607.582 hectares is non-forest Cantonment land and 395 hectares is deemed forest land being part of Cantonment land belonging to the Army.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 03/05/2018 regarding construction of International Craft Complex in morphological Ridge area, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

A CEC report on this matter was placed before the Court which was accepted by the Apex Court subject to some conditions:

i) The NBCC (India) Pvt. Ltd. Shall deposit 5% of project cost with the Ridge Management Board Fund for conservation and protection of Delhi Ridge

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 03/05/2018 regarding utilization of land for the widening of National Highway from Dhaula Kuan, Delhi, 03/05/2018. It is stated by the counsel appearing for the NHAI that 21.52 hectares of land in Yamuna Flood Plain has been handed over to the NHAI. It is further stated that 5% of the Project cost has been deposited with the Ridge Management Board.

Order of the Supreme Court of India In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 24/04/2018 regarding disposal of solid waste in Delhi. The Court's attention was drawn to the order dated 15/02/2000 passed by the Supreme Court which required landfills sites to be identified within a period of three weeks. However, the needful has not been done even after the passage of 17 years. Notice is issued to DDA for identification of landfill sites and handing over its possession.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 23/04/2018 regarding sale of good quality coal in the garb of rejects to M/S Hindalco. This is an application filed as a result of an Inquiry Report of the CEC dated 11th May, 2005. The report of the CEC concerns sale of good quality coal in the garb of rejects to M/s. Hindalco. Orders were passed by this Court on 6th November, 2009 requiring an inquiry to be made at the highest level in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 23/04/2018 This is an application filed by M/s. Puntambekar Minerals for the purpose of mining bauxite near the Radhanagri sanctuary. The Court notes that the matter has been pending for a long time before being taken up by the Standing Committee of the National Board of Wildlife. NBW had asked the Government of Maharashtra to initiate action against mining units which are operating without obtaining approval from the National Board of Wildlife.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 10/04/2018. This is an application filed by the Delhi Jal Board seeking permission for use of 1.6 acres of forest land falling in Sanjay Van which is part of the South Central Ridge area in Delhi to lay 600 MM diameter water pipeline from IIT Gate to Qutab pumping station passing through Sanjay Van for a distance of 1200 meters and which pipeline is the main inlet water carrying pipeline for improvement of the water supply in the Mehrauli Area.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 22/03/2018. This is an application filed by the National Highway Authority of India seeking permission for utilization of an area of 12.28 hectares falling within the morphological ridge for improvement of T-Junction near Dhaula Kuan Metro Station including widening of National Highway from Dhaula Kuan upto end of Junction on NH-8 and improvement of T-Junction near Defence Area including widening of National Highway upto Defence area on NH-8.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 14/03/2018 regarding Compensatory Afforestation Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) Funds.  Supreme Court states that from the information given by the ASG as well as the Amicus, there are at least 10 or 12 funds that have been created as a result of orders passed by the Supreme Court from time to time. The total amount in these funds is tentatively put in the region of Rs.70,000-75,000 crores approximately.
