KATRA :for the 3-day intensified Pulse Polio Immunization programme, 42 booths were setup in Health Block Katra of district Reasi which also includes four booths setup on the track of Mata Vaishno Devi at different locations for the facilities of visiting pilgrims.
REASI, Sep 2 : To assess the pace of development works initiated under forest sector in Reasi district during the current year, a meeting was convened here at Reasi today.
The District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Sanjeev Verma chaired the meeting while Divisional Forest Officer, Reasi and Mahore and DFO Social Forestry Reasi participated in the meeting.
Government has initiated a number of steps to provide official accommodation to various Primary Health Centers, Sub Centers Ayurvadic and allopathic dispensaries of Reasi district which are not housed in government buildings so that better medicare facilities are rendered to the rural people at their doorsteps.
For the current financial year 2008-09, against a financial target of Rs.954.82 lakh, construction of one PHC at Panassa would be completed while more Primary Health Centers Ayurvedic Dispensaries and sub centers shall be taken up by utilizing the loan component.

Sunil Singh and Ashok Kumar both of 10th class were declared second and third respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to Shiv Dev Singh and Miss Zareena Bano both of 9th class. The Head Master of Government High School, Kambla Danga, Balbir Singh presided over the function.
To boost agriculture production and to raise the socio economic conditions of the rural people of Reasi district who are mainly dependant on agriculture and allied services, the government has earmarked an allocation of Rs. 294.60 lakh for the current financial year under agriculture and allied services sector for Reasi district. It was disclosed by the District Development Commissioner, Reasi Sanjeev Verma in a meeting held here at Reasi the other day.
