GANDHINAGAR: The government has admitted in state Assembly that 93 deaths have been reported because of hepatitis-B in Sabarkantha district. It also informed the House that the disease spread through multiple use of syringes.

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has gathered first visible evidence against four pharma and packaging firms in Narol and Isanpur whose names figured in the list of 26 firms recycling medical waste. A raiding team found boxes containing used medicine bottles with their cartons that were supplied by a scap dealer to these companies.

Ahmedabad : Eleven new cases of Hepatitis-B have been reported in Sabarkantha district in North Gujarat on Sunday. The total number of cases reported has now reached to 184. According to health officials, the death toll is 56 as no deaths were reported on Sunday.
