Limited, Asarmeta Cement Plant, Tehsil Alaktara, District Janjgeer Champa, Chhattisgarh. There is also a proposal to set up 20MW coal based Captive Power Plant which will further damage the environment. Green belt is being damaged and trees are being cut.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of State of Odisha Vs State of Chhattisgarh dated 23/01/2018 regarding water dispute in respect of waters of the Mahanadi Basin. This suit was filed by the State of Odisha asking for an injunction restraining State of Chhattisgarh from continuing with the construction and operation of the six ongoing industrial barrages namely Samoda, Seorinarayan, Basantpur, Mirouni, Saradiha and Kalma.
