Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court own its Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. dated 21/01/2015 regarding the feasibility of a rope way at Vashishtha to Rohtang Pass. The case relates to the ecology and environmental maintenance of this eco-sensitive area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Court on its Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. dated 20/01/2015. The Tribunal noted that the trees have been felled illegally, unauthorizedly and without permission of any of the competent authority. It is further stated that some of the trees have been felled in the Government forest land.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Ahuja Plastics Ltd. Vs State of Himachal Pradesh dated 13/01/2015 regarding grant of mining lease for mining of lime stone in an area comprising nearly 101.11 bighas of land in Khasra No. 629/1 situated at Village Kalva, near Village Bhutmari (Renukaji), District Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh for a period of 20 years under the provisions of Mineral Concession Rules, 1960.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Sanjay Hindwan Vs. State of H.P. & Ors. dated 25/11/2014 regarding felling of trees, Himachal Pradesh.

The Counsel appearing for the Applicant on behalf of his client gives an undertaking to the Tribunal that they would plant at least 50 trees of different varieties in consultation with the Forest Department of the State of Himachal Pradesh and would ensure that those trees grow properly and are not permitted to die because of lack of care and protection.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Circuit Bench at Shimla) in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of HP dated 20/11/2014. It has been reported in the Tribune newspaper dated 20.11.2014 that 200 trees have been cut near the Tara Devi Temple. These are Deodar and Oak trees and were on a private property adjoining Tara Devi Temple in Shimla.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi - Circuit Bench at Shimla) in the matter of Dharam Pal Vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 14/08/2014 regarding a large quantity of muck produced by the Project Proponent causing blockage of the river/water source. The Tribunal has directed that the project proponent, in consonance with the recommendations of the Committee appointed by the court in its final report, set-up a stone crusher at Bhallog Nala and start utilizing the muck for conversion into the aggregate especially from the private fields.
