Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Abhimanyu Rathor Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 31/05/2016 regarding environmental degradation of Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh. Tribunal directed the State of Himmachal Pradesh that barrier at Gulaba should be re-designed and maintained properly. It should have all the relevant equipments and computerized to ensure proper managements of the tourists pressure during the season and mobile toilets units at Gulaba and other places should be properly managed and there should be effective waste disposal system.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Baldev Singh Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 18/05/2016 regarding stone crushers operating in village Bair, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh operating without consent of the State Pollution Control Board. Tribunal disposes of the Application with the instructions that the stone crusher will not operate till the time the consent to operate is granted by the Board and the Unit is physically inspected by the Joint Inspection Team of the Board. Till that time electricity is also disconnected.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Karan Singh Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 10/05/2016 regarding municipal solid waste management in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Tribunal noted that there is no plant presently operating in the State of Himachal Pradesh, including its capital at Shimla thus it is necessary that the municipal solid waste instead of being dumped in the Hilly Valley should be taken to Chandigarh site and provided to the plant.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 09/05/2016 regarding degradation of environment and receding of the glaciers at Rohtang Pass. Tribunal directs the State of Himachal Pradesh to commence CNG Bus Stations in the coming season and the land would be handed over to the GGL for construction and establishment of the mother Booster Station at Tahliwal and Daughter Booster Station at Manali within three weeks. The work thereupon will be commenced immediately thereafter.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Prashanti Surya Construction Co. (M/s Prashanti Surya Construction Co.) & Others Vs Central Empowered Committee & Others dated 04/05/2016 regarding hotel, shopping complex and bus stand constructed by M/s Prashanti Surya Construction, at Mcleodganj, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh in alleged violation of the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushma Bisht Vs. State & Ors. dated 21/04/2016 regarding construction of a house on the flood plain of river Beas, Himachal Pradesh. B.K. Rawal, Officer from the Central Water Commission submits that they will guide the Administrative Authorities and the concerned Authorities at Mandi to determine and physically fix the flood plain of river Beas and Sukheti Khad as well.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushma Bisht Vs. State & Others dated 04/04/2016 regarding constructions on the river bed of Beas, Mandi. NGT questions how the constructions have come up right into the river bed as well as flood plain as shown in the photographs.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sarav Shikshit Evam Berojgar Janhit Vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 10/12/2015 regarding air and water pollution and consequent health hazards in and around the premises of Associate Cement Company Ltd. located near Barmana, District Bilaspur, State of Himachal Pradesh. According to the Applicant (Sarav Shikshit Evam Berojgar Janhit) with the passage of time, the residents of the area faced very serious health problems posed by the air pollution and noise emitted from the plant.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. dated 07/10/2015 regarding plying of CNG vehicles in Manali and Rohtang Pass area of Himachal Pradesh.

The Counsel appearing for the different Authorities, Companies, State Government and Central Government have agreed to a proposal to make it possible to supply the CNG gas at Manali. They have placed on record a note to ensure execution of the issues decided. The GAIL Gas Ltd. Shall be responsible for execution of the project.
